This guide offers a central location for resources (books, databases, awards) focusing on Children's and Young Adult (YA) literature.Medford Library's Juvenile collection is located on the first floor, just past the Library's Conference Room. In addition to an evolving collection of books for children, tweens, and adolescents, the Juvenile collection also features a small collection of board books for babies, stuffed animals, and a reading nook. USC Lancaster and community users are welcome to bring little ones and read to them. The collection circulations, and we also encourage visitors to check out books to take home for their reading pleasure.
Medford Library's Juvenile collection includes non-fiction and fiction books, including Caldecott, Newbery, and Coretta Scott King awards. USC Lancaster Students who have taken the Early Childhood Literature course have also assisted Medford librarians in their efforts to increase diverse voices and youth experiences and concerns in our collection, choosing books recognized by Pura Belpré Awards, Lambda Awards, and more (and you can help us, too!)
